101 in 1001-1 year down

So I have realized that I am now a full year into my 101 things in 1001 days!  So here's an update into how I'm doing.   Jessica's 101 in 1001 Start: January 1st, 2011 End: September 28th, 2013 Personal 1. Keep a written journal (regularly) 2. Blog at least once a week for a month (hopefully forever) Completed my Wordcount Blog-a-thon challenge! 3. Write personal (and professional) goals for each month and work to achieve them (12/33) I kind of skipped out on this in November & December 2011-but I feel like getting a new job, moving and getting permanently hired on count enough!  4. Change my bathroom inspiration quotes once a week (for at least a month)   5. Write something positive about my day every night for at least two weeks 6. Make a meal out of all local ingredients 7. Spend an hour of "me-time" a week that does not involve TV 8. Take a self defense class 9. Go to a Bible study (must try for at least a month) 10. Watch a sunrise  11. Watch a sunse

The Seed Inventory

I thought that before I start seeds I should take a little bit of inventory as to what I have, what I want to eat this summer, and how much of it I actually want to grow.  With my new apartment I have a drastic reduction in the amount of space I have therefore I am either going to need to buy more of what I eat at a farmers' market, CSA, or Kroger or find an alternative planting spot to my current residence.   So lets start with my seed inventory: Flowers:  California Poppy (Orange); American Seed Impatiens (mixed color); American Seed Marigold; Harvested from Wilmington College Community Garden 2010 Zinnia (mixed color); American Seed Veggies: Beets (Detroit dark-red); Burpee Signature Beets (Detroit dark-red); Burpee Signature Broccoli ; American Seed Brussel Sprouts; Ferry-Morse Bush beans (white); local Wilmington farmer Cabbage; American Seed  Carrots (Darvers); Livingston Seed Chives; Horticultural products and services  Celery;  Ferry-Morse

February Goals

I'm not going to lie...January's goals were a COMPLETE bust. So let's try this again shall we? 1. Go to the gym 4 times this month (once/week) 2. Finish unpacking (for real this time!) 3. Get my volunteering project set-up 4. Set-up a desk/work space upstairs   I also really want to find a Farmers' Market or a local food store to shop at.  I found an organic place but its not the same thing.  I'd rather buy from a local farmer who uses pesticides than from an organic one who lives 5000 miles away.  So I'm trying to work on that as well.   Maybe we'll make goal 5 find a way to post more often....life without internet at your apartment = not awesome.
