Happy National Coming Out Day!

I just wanted to drop a line and say Happy National Coming Out Day! Don't be afraid to be who you are! Want to learn more about the Human Rights' Campaign's National Coming Out Day (or tell your story) Click here! And don't just read this...do something to celebrate.  I'm going to go tie dye a shirt with our Gay/Straight Alliance on campus!

Mental Illness Awareness Week

In the craziness that has been my last 2 weeks I had completely forgotten that this week is Mental Illness Awareness Week and in honor of that I was perusing the MIAW website and found the following Vlog post that really reminded me of something that I had been forgetting recently. "Medecine and therapy are not enough you have to make your mental health a priority." And Marie (the vlogger) is completely right and I think in the rush to do great things at work and to get as much into my day as I can I've been forgetting that.  So here's to Mental Illness Awareness Week and a reminder that your mental health should come first.
